What is Saros Proficiency?

Saros proficiency is a measure of your weapon's effectiveness, determined by your proficiency level. This level is displayed in the bottom left corner of your screen and affects the level of weapons you find and your starting weapon's capabilities. For example, if your proficiency level is 10, your starting weapon and power weapon will be level 10, and weapons you find will be level 10 or higher.

Why Improve Your Proficiency?

The main reason to improve your proficiency level is to access higher-level weapons with more traits. Early on, your weapons may come with one or two traits, but at higher levels, they can have up to five traits. Additionally, higher-level weapons have a higher maximum stat cap, allowing your attributes to have a greater impact on your weapons.

Increasing Your Proficiency Level

There are two ways to increase your proficiency level: picking up lucenite or unlocking proficiency enhancement nodes in the Armor Matrix. Your proficiency level will naturally increase during your runs as you defeat enemies and collect the lucenite they drop. However, to max out your proficiency, make sure to explore every side path, defeat every enemy, and quickly pick up dropped lucenite.

Filling the Proficiency Bar

To see how close you are to leveling up your proficiency, take a close look at the bar between your proficiency level and integrity. As you gain more lucenite, the bar will fill up, and when it's full, your level will increase and the bar will reset.
